Blitz/Base Damage question
 

Is base damage the physical damage in total? (Including runes, items, etc.) Or is it just the original damage you get with your levels (the blue number if you highlight your attack damage)? If base damage doesn't include items, runes, etc. why do people stack attack damage with Blitz when most of his damage spells work off of ability power? (Power fist being the one black sheep). I would more openly understand if someone can clear up the base damage.

= dmg without runes, items, masteries, buffs, etc. but like lollerman said, its pretty good described if go with ur mouse over ur attack dmg at the hud

Because they've changed both the claw and ult active to .8 AP ratio? Because stacking attack damage has more synergy with punch, the move/attack speed buff, sheen etc? I'm not 100% sure which is the right way these days or if there even is a definitive right way.

I tried to ask about Blitz builds after this patch came out but so far haven't had much luck.
