New Potential Support Strategy???
 

Ok so with the addition of Avarice seals it means if we combing the quints (3g/10) with the runes (2.25g/10) and the greed mastery (2g/10) a support can recieve an initial 7.25 g/10.
and the base g/10 is 13g/10 right?
so that means at the 1:30 mark you have an initial gold income of 20.25g/10

The strategy im suggesting is rush the philo stone: give the 2 golems to the support rather than the ad carry giving him 48 gold and as well get the wealth mastery gaining 40 initial gold.
making the supports initial gold total as 563 gold
if the support forgoes any health pots it means he is a mere 237 gold away from a philo stone
at 20.25g/10 starting at the 1:30 mark
meaning that by 3:27 he will have enough gold from natural income to get a philosohers stone
meaning his 3:30 g/10 income is now 25.25g/10

Cons:
- Takes 48 gold away from ad carry and some minor exp
- Is vulnerable to aggressive combos as it does not incorporate any health pots
- Most likely only works with supports which have a heal (sona, soraka etc) and/or an ad carry which is adept at clearing minions (Caitlin, graves etc)
- has absolutely no wards early game

Pros:
- Overall team gold late game is dramatically increased
- at the 3:30 mark your supports ability to spam far outweighs the opponents
- creates a domino affect allowing you to get your HOG much earlier and therefore get items with auras/Shurelya's Reverie much faster
- If you dont take any serious issues in bot lane till 3:30 you are in front significantly

In PUG play this is completely viable, not so much in any serious play though. The actual issues is that it leaves your AD carry on bot exposed briefly, and while not having wards isn't a problem, expecting your bot partner to not utterly **** up as a result of it is asking a lot. Get your jungle to gank bot ASAP.

With most supports getting Kage's Pick is a better choice for their second GP5 item anyways.

Sounds legit to me. There's definitely a risk vs reward there.

The base gp5 is something closer to 14/10.

Because nobody except supports are going to be running gold/10 runes. Everyone else can achieve a fast philo by just getting a few lasthits in lane.

why wait til 3:30?

Give 3 cs to the support and bam, even faster. or the support can get a ward.

I like it personally, how detrimental would it be for an ad carry though?
It would shave off 40 seconds or so, so you can grab it by about 2:50? does 3 cs change the lane at that stage?

3cs can't change a game, but a ward can decide life and death.
