Think about it. Syndra hates authority, she hates being controlled. She's a teen/early 20's who wants to do her own thing. She has a flying castle, which we can call "her own place". Meanwhile, Brolaf is Brolaf. Just imagine it!

Brolaf: Woooaaahh dude, bro, you've got your own place? That's awesome. No parents or anything? Sweeeet, bro. Want some graggy? I've got a whole case!

One week later, they sit on the couch in Syndra's basement, in their underwear, surrounded by fast food wrappers and graggy cans, eating cold pizza and watching infomercials, as the King and Queen of Bromacia.
