We have a TANK problem
Personally, i dont think any of the current anti-tank items (DFG, Blackfire Torch, BoRK)
are good enough to deal with heavy tanks BoRK only deals 4% in the target's CURRENT health, so it really will scale downward in a fight against a tank. Its a great lifesteal item, but a bad anti-tank item and replacement for the role that Madred's filled. Blackfire Torch only deals 5% over 2 seconds and it DOSENT stack. Plus, its on an ammo system, in a prolonged fight this item becomes useless for dealing with Tanks DFG has been nerfed to hell. 15% of the target's current health (+5% per 100 ability power), means you can only use it to initiate and this damage will scale downward by a lot with MS that tank will sure have. So, how exactly are we meant to deal with Tanks? Like a tank like mundo, speacially after the nerfs to both Morello's evil tome and Executioner's calling, unless you have an ignite there is no way to stop his healing and destroy his ridicoulous amounts of health. and god forbid should he build Mercurial Scimitar, and remove the ignite. Same question goes to a Volibear, Olaf, Singed or any other tank/Bruiser that benefits from stacking gratuitous amounts of health? |

nor was DFG black fire torch is a TT item BoRK... im actualyl not sure how that is used well as of now... anyway.... there has never been a direct tank counter item . what you do forget tho, is that stacking any kind of armor / magic pen is now very very effective. armor and magic resist therefore have become even less efficient AND both stats have also become more expensive too. (theres your too tanky nerf) and if they only stack health: lifesteal + damage will do the trick |
AP: You stack AP as high as you can with voidstaff
AD: You stack AD as high as you can with that one bow Now if "HP" is the real culprit then what you do is get items like BoRK or the new haunting guise. Yet outside of that you do nothing but keep your distance and harass.. |

Deathfire does 15% max, not current. Which means you can now effectively snipe off fleeing opponents when your entire spell rotation drops them to 10%, but you have no followup.

DFG has been changed to 15% max HP with no scaling, with a bonus effect of doing 20% more damage with your abilities on that Target.
The people who posted earlier are correct. Penetration items have become better, BotKr is not really intended for anti-tank, but works okayish if only stack HP, and resists cost efficiency has been dropped quite a bit. |
Armor/mr have become more expensive. The new black cleaver shreds armor an insane amount, and an ad carry with LW will benefit from the BC too. If anything, tanking has become really difficult.
Edit: I mean an ad carry will have the pen from an ally's BC. |

We had a tank problem before, when tanks could have 5k health and like 50 hp regen a second, take 3500 dmg in a fight walk away for five seconds and come back with full hp. THAT was a problem. |
