and hey, i'm self employed, so i shell an extra 7.65% into fica, so that makes 15.3% of my income that i know i'll never see a dime of

That doesn't make sense

Tax =/= bribe

Tax is what provides you with public amenities and facilities

Bribe = giving money because your scared/threatened
