Theres no Correct way to play vs Dairus
 

Now let me explain why this is.
Darius's damage inst what is op about him It's how his damage works.

This champion has Mixed damage in sizeable amounts. True damage for starters theres no counter for that besides health and that not a core item for 60% of the champions on this game. Armor is ok to build vs dairus but almost pointless since his e gives 30% armor pen No is going to build MR vs him .

Since there's no good way build against him let's move on to dueling him



When he uses w this move does 125% of his ad and slows AND the kicker takes 20% of your attack speed PLUS resets his auto attack .

So stay out of his AA range, he is melee after all. Play sustain champs and laugh at his pseudo-burstiness. Build that armor because it's still helpful even with his maxed out 25% Arpen on the last ability he levels. Bait the Q and beat face with a better face beater, which is most of the solo tops in the game.

There is a correct way to play versus Darius. There is also a correct way to build against Darius.

Play cautious in the laning phase. Let him push and your jungler eat him alive or turn the lane into a farmfest, which you will likely win. Build armor against him: he won't level up his E until he has to. Build health: it's easier than you seem to think it is, as you'll see about 95% of players build some sort of health on their champions in the laning phase. Doran's items give health, Ruby Crystal, you have plenty of options, dude. As to dueling him...

There are only a select few characters you should EVER attempt to dual Darius with unless you're many kills and many creeps ahead. Malphite is the only one I can think of who should ever attempt to take the guy down 1v1 and that's only due to armor stack and AS debuff.

they should just increase his mana costs so he isnt a spamming buttface like he is.

defeats the purpose behind his theme. If spamming is all it takes to overcome your strategy then your strategy is weak

What about Kayle?

technically kayle is a counterpick not a counter "way"

yeah, there is:

harass, harass, harass, tell your jungler to come on up, force a flash. do it again.

and never fight him straight up. yay. darius solved.

Because he doesnt have a grab and slow or never builds a frozen mallet. And he can NEVER burst squishy champs down then ult in the 3 seconds it takes for slow to GTFO.

Honestly his passive needs to be tweaked down again, his q needs to be tweaked down and his ult needs to not FULLY refresh when he kills with it. Cho'gaths doesn't and cho has a HELLA smaller range than darius does, plus all of his kit is dodgable even if he catches up to you.

But w/e, no one ever seems to agree that the bruiser genre needs a nerf *cough* garen *cough*
