darius - the most controversial champion
 

I wish riot would address this.

Whether you agree or disagree about how broken he is, there are probably more threads about him than anyone else. possibly more than the next 5 most mentioned champs combined.

On lolcounter, if you look up darius, there are thousands of votes for his counters, for both up and down votes.

people instantly FLIP OUT at the mention of his over poweredness.
it instantly becomes a "you suck you can't fight him" or "darius more broken than everything to break in the world"


So if riot would at least address this situation: is he broken? if so, how will you fix? if not, why do you justify his power, durability, lane strength, late game, and why his only weakness is kites?

also, the thing is is that Darius is anti-fun. If you're up and coming in this game, you probably don't know what's going on half the time, but hey, it's a game. People freak out hard sometimes when playing this and they forget it's a game. It's not only about competitive play, what about about those casual players? For those many guys who aren't tryhard ragemachines, sometimes they just want to have a match they can fight in. Most guys you can fight and sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose. But the fact that there's a character that can crush with such a low learning curve, it's not fun.

riot addressed their opinion on darius many times, he isnt exactly what they intended him to be, but morello said he feels darius is a little underpowered (hes talking for people above 1000 elo) and he isnt nefring darius, he does his job, which is kill idiots who only want to 1v1

Also, I think Darius takes a clear second place to the hatred and controversy that Teemo invokes.

Riot understands the problem, and it isn't a balance problem. Get over your angst.

you can't avoid 1v1's forever. and in lane, it's sometimes a situation of don't farm and fall behind, or try to farm and fight off and be crushed horribly. either way, you're not getting gold and still falling behind

teemo has in fact taken quite alarm with the s3 items and his synergy with said items

hes right, its not balance issue, its the fact that people dont realize darius cant hit anything 2 minion lengths away from him, cant chase, cant kite, and is vulnerable to anything with a ranged ability, and people still think they can 1v1 him..you could say its a player skill problem, kinda how at level 5 tryndamere is an unstoppable machine, then you learn to use exhaust, and land snares...

No wonder you are posting darius OP threads... your teemo gets squashed like a bug by a big bad darius and you come complaining in forums >.>

whoops meant to hit quote accidentally upvoted, dont let it go to your head, anyways, if youd pick a ranged champ you could not only farm, but prevent him from farming at the same time, what do you know, suddenly darius is useless and youre fat with farm

shen, he cant die,
and olaf and riven can out duel darius thanks to their passives and her stun, his true damage

ahri is conversed about even in darius threads. Ahri is more contraversial
