Patch 3.01 Notes
League System
Annie
Blitzcrank
Cho'Gath
Diana
Elise
Ezreal These changes are a continuation of our earlier effort to carefully scale back some of Ezreal’s excess power. Although these nerfs affect AP Ezreal, right now we’re focused on stabilizing AD Ezreal. After that we’ll assess the state of AP Ezreal.
Heimerdinger Though these aren’t all the Heimerdinger changes we’d eventually like to do, these are some quality of life adjustments that should help smooth out Heimer’s current gameplay.
Katarina These changes are focused on once again increasing the risk of Katarina’s gameplay by forcing her to build more offensive stats and focus on pulling off well-timed Death Lotuses.
Kennen
Lulu
Master Yi
Miss Fortune
Nasus Nasus now gains double the bonus from Siphoning Strike when it’s used to kill more significant (“large”) targets such as enemy champions, cannon minions, the giant wolf or even Baron Nashor. This change reinforces the game’s general reward structure, wherein more important units provide additional rewards.
Nunu These changes are focused on forcing Nunu to play more actively in his support role by reducing the power he passively contributes to his allies.
Olaf
Shaco
Shen
Sion Sion now receives twice the bonus stats from Enrage when he uses it to kill more significant (“large”) targets such as enemy champions, cannon minions, the giant wolf or even Baron Nashor. This change reinforces the game’s general reward structure, wherein more important units provide additional rewards.
Tristana
Tryndamere
Veigar Veigar now receives twice the bonus stats from Baleful Strike when he uses it to kill more significant (“large”) targets such as enemy champions, cannon minions, the giant wolf or even Baron Nashor. This change reinforces the game’s general reward structure, wherein more important units provide additional rewards.
Vi
Volibear Volibear’s base attack speed was below average for an attack-based melee champion. This change helps address this deficiency and helps him clear the jungle.

Quote:
Olaf nerfs were needed but it might have been a bit much. Much harder to hit with multiple undertows to gank, no free passive armpen, armor items being buffed, and health nerfed could end up being a bit much for him. Still far from the worst champion. Shaco nerfs better be so they can give him something late game in the future instead of killing him off from league, otherwise I don't like this change much. Warmog's nerf is good, should fix seeing everyone build it on every champion without making it a useless item. Overall I think this patch still fixes a lot of problems with the items though. |
I much appreciate adding the intent of changes directly into the patch notes! That should help curb whining a little bit... right? RIGHT?!
|
Thanks for the Kat changes, maybe everybody will stop trying to be Voyboy now.
|
I love the new footnotes. Stating details and motives, great step in the right direction.

League system seems like it will suck
|
Heimer Buffs and QoL ahoy!
Edit: Fun fact, it's been 1 year, 5 months, and 23 days since Riot directly did something positive for Heimerdinger (*Heimerdinger will now place Frost Turrets if he places a turret while UPGRADE!!! is active.). That's the Skarner patch folks |
Finally

Love you Morello!
