What works with Jax? [Items + More]
 

I'd like to start a discussion about it. What are you guys seeing work with Jax? AP? Attack Power? Attack Speed?


Based on my initial experience with him it would seem logical to go AP, but that seems frowned upon?

Doran's Shield + Red Pot
Ninja Tabi/Merc treads (depending on opponents)
Phage
Phantom Dancer
Inifinity Edge/Frozen Mallet

Thoughts on Rageblade?

Use it if you're goin AP, but AP build sucks so don't use it at all.

I thought Rageblade was good with DPS items?

Get sheen + damage items.

Sheen + Empower maybe?

Yes. Just get the sheen for the burst damage it gives but still have damage + dodge items.

For damage, attack speed is good because you proc your ult more often.
AP is decent, because you get 1-1 on your ult and leap-strike and .8-1 on your counterattack
Dodge is good for getting your counterattack more often
Attack damage isn't bad, as you will be attacking quickly and get a bonus to it with your passive. However, more attack speed breeds more attack speed from your ult, making it better.
MR is good, especially things like Merc Treads and Banshee's Veil, since your dodge is usually fairly high, meaning magic is your weakness.

A decent full Jax item set is probably something like:

Nashor's Tooth
Phantom Dancer
Merc Treads
Banshee's Veil
Trinity Force
Wit's End or Frozen Mallet

Frozen mallet needs to be earlier. The massive hp boost is just godly, and the constant slowing is perfect for a gank and faster than getting lizard buff.
