Sometimes people will just have bad games and other times good games. I've had games as gp where I carried the team like crazy and teammates calling me pro and other games where I got countered hard and teammates calling me noob.

Everyone is also best with certain characters and in ranked play many times you won't be able to play your best character or position so you won't be able to shine for those particular games.

Where was this thread before I hit 30....SO many games where I'd be lvl ~20 queued against all 30s.

Would adjusting ELO based on time help the system at all? Similar to how IP is now, more gain for fast wins and less loss for longer defeats. If it is a game with even skill levels, the game will tend to be longer. If it's unbalanced, the game will tend to be shorter. This could help people get to their true ELO faster, which would help out with the ELO hell problem. Just theorycrafting, not sure if it'll do anything positive.

Maybe this is a problem at 1200 ELO at least.

Ive plaved games where the average amount of games was 250+ and my teams total amount of ranked games in was under 150. So were playing against people who have played more ranked game into total than my entire team.

Maybe start people at the lowest ELO and make them build up? This is what other games do. Not start them in the middle.

A system similiar to SC2 would be nice. 10-15 games where you play and than you get placed at an ELO instead of just 1200 default.

EDIT: 3 games ago my team looked like this win wise (4, 8, 9, 12, 93(me) The other team lowest amout of wins was 128. We got stomped.

Ill screen shot this next time.

how to fix matchmaking? perma ban the feeding/non-communicating/raging and griefing trolls

I have on average, 4 minute ques for normal games when I solo que as of late, and I que into some pretty brutal opponents (people playing at 2200+ on the ladder in solo que ranked atm). I did some games with one of my friends today who doesn't play at as high a level, and we played mostly ad + support bot. I found that even if we dominated our lane every time, our top, mid, and jungle were so overmatched that by 20 minutes, even if I was up 5 kills and 50+ cs in lane, I was so far behind the solo lanes that the game was unwinnable.

Unfortunatly don't have any screenshots for you, but my general experience has been that when queing with my friends, if I don't play a 'high impact role' we would get crushed, 70% of the time. I'll see if I can't get some screenshots for you over the next few days when we duo.

Honestly 90% of premades are just way worse than the other team, If i get a duo Q in ranked It's almost always a loss because one player is terrible and the other player is trying to help the terrible one resulting in feeding tremendously and then "noob mid/jungler u never gankzors!!!!"

you sir are my hero. if a 2200+ ELO person cant carry a low ELO game? how am I expected too?

Where's the "never" option? It honestly feels to me that matchmaking is more interested in artificially keeping us at a 50/50 win/loss ratio. Every match is either we're significantly better than the other team or vice versa and is an absolute pubstomp either way. Very arrely do we have legitimate matches that could go either way. Actually plenty of times me and my friends are clearly better it's just that we have 1 or 2 teammates that are just simply bad at this game and do stupid things you'd expect from lvl1 players.

I currently have no pictures so I won't email but I play normals with my friends usually in teams of 2-4 and lately i've noticed that we are always being placed with and against people of either about 200-300 wins, and people with well over 1000 wins. Just last night I played with one friend (I have 585 wins, he has 600 wins) and we were paired with a 300 win ashe and a 96 win tryndamere! Wtf? The enemy team had two people with well over 1000 wins. 1200 and 1800 I think but those specific values might have been another game, I just know they were over 1k wins and it happens almost every match lately. There was no way we could win that match.

Also for the most part my friends are similar skilled except one or two we don't play with *that* often. One friend is indeed pretty good but only has 200ish wins because he didn't play for a while. These outlier players happen regardless of who I play with.

The other team should surrender; however, what if there is one or two players on the other team who refuse to surrender and choose to now troll their own team?

Cap the amount of ELO you can gain from the teams KDA.

oh don't get me wrong, I can carry a lot of games that feel unwinnable if I'm playing say solo mid as a strong ap by dominating the lane and roaming to help other lanes / forcing jungle pressure mid, but if I want to play say support (my favorite role) or ad bot, we get dominated a lot. (keep in mind this is all in relation to playing premades with my friends who play at lower elos / duo queing) *also, 'low elo' a lot of the time means queing into teams made up of at least half gold players or higher.
