What's the Range on Lux's Skills? [TESTING NEEDED]
 

So I went up to the LoL wiki and checked the range on Lux's Q, Light Binding, and it said it was less than her E, which it clearly is not after popping open a game and testing it. (I was able to tag a creep with my Q even though it was well out of range of my E). So some testing is in order! What are the ranges on Lux's skills?

Light Binding (Q)
Range: 1000

Lucent Singularity (E)
Range to Center of AoE: 1100
AoE Radius:350

Says it's 1075. Though I'm willing to bet it's a bit longer. Anyone with eyes knows the target display for linear skillshots is off. Skills like Brands Sear, or Lux's light binding both extend slightly beyond the end of the pointer.

Also, when you say "out of range of my E", can you be more specific. Do you mean out of range of the centre of the orb, or the entire spell? Because at "max range", her E has a range of 1450. The 1100 range to the centre of the spell, and then the 350 "extra" range because of the AoE's radius from the centre. (I'll assume the former, because I highly doubt LiB has THAT big of a range).

Either way, it doesn't matter all that much. You'll be measuring if you'll hit a skillshot by eye in-game, not by the "actual" distance. Just learn and practice her different ranges and you'll be set.

I mean that my Q hit a creep that was completely out of the outer radius of my E at max range.

Also, I'm pretty sure when it says the radius is 350 it means the DIAMETER is 350, because a radius of 350 would mean that it's longer than Caitlyn's auto-attack range, which it certainly is not.

Oh it is too. LOL. My bad, misread the wikia.

So the actual E range is only 1275 then. I literally just played a game of Lux and forgot to test the range of Q vs E. ._.
