Where are the cheap champions?
 

So I have noticed that every new champion that is coming out is either a Tier 3 or a Tier 4 champion. I remember back in the day when there were only like 3 Tier 4 champions and new champions would come out that would be than 3000 IP. I think the last Tier 2 champion to come out was Poppy.

I was wondering if we will ever get more champions in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 price range? I used to be able to play about 5 games and buy a new champion. Now I have to play 2 weeks or longer in order to afford any champions.

I know you probably don't want to release new champions at a low value because you want people to spend real money on them, but what if there was some sort of slow price decline? Maybe after a champ has been out for a month it drops from Tier 4 to Tier 3, then after 3 more months it drops from Tier 3 to Tier 2? Something like that so the price slowly declines.

That way the original Tier 4 champs, Twitch, Cho, Corki, etc, can be cheaper so that more people can afford them. I am trying to own every champ and I don't like that once it takes me like a month to afford any new champ.

They aren't done making cheap champions but there are 23 champions 1350 and under and only 11 at 6300 according to Loote and according to Pendragon most people don't request basic easy champions so they are pushing out more complex champions that also require more engineering time.

Alright, I just did a count of my own in the store:

6300: 11
3150: 24
1350: 17
450: 6

So as you can see, the balance is actually weighed more towards the more expensive champs. I guess the only way to really unlock every champ is to play the game more than is healthy, or spend real money.

People don't spend RP on cheap champs.

As for champion prices I do wish that they weren't so expensive but I can still hold my own by playing every now and then.

To me this looks like:

Expensive: 11
Moderate: 24
Cheap: 23

I mean seriously...

6300IP = 7 days of farming (2 games + 6 practice a day)
3150IP = 4 days of farming
1350IP = 2 days of farming
450IP = 1 day of farming

Really though... 1350IP and 450IP = really cheap and easy to farm, 3150IP is what I think as the "average" champ cost and that's what the numbers are saying and then there is 6300IP the "expensive" ones.

There are lots of cheap champs just people dont like to play faceroll yi, they want to play skillshot EZ.

They said they are going to release more cheap champs but also keep in mind they will be very simple designs and skills... so ya.

7 days of farming...right. Because like most working people with a family, I have time for 8 games a day....6300IP is about 16 days of farming, that is 1 first win of the day + 2 wins. That is assuming I win every game for 16 days.

Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining about that there are expensive champions. I would just like to see more champs in the 1350 and 450 range because it is very hard for us non-hard core players to purchase all these new champs coming out. Assuming I don't win every game, it takes me about 3 weeks to buy one 6300 IP champ. So at the current rate, my goal of owning every champ is going down the drain.

6300IP = 3 hours of playing a day for 7 days (2 games (even if u lose both) + 6 practice games (takes 1 hour)

2 hours of play = 2 games
1 hour of play = 6 practice games

= 6,300IP in 7 days... just because you have to give up 1 game for 6 11min games doesnt mean much... if you want everything work for it or pay for it.
