Blah, I had a feeling that the structure of my response was suspect, but can't unsay what's already been said. As the original thread's been closed, this is my response to Rinoa and anyone else who've felt that my words were harsh.

Please do not misconstrue my reponse as sexist and I apologize if you felt any offense to my statement, as it was not my intent to be sexist or offensive. I fully believe that it doesn't matter what gender you are, as long as you have both the game knowledge and public speaking skills to provide useful, constructive commentary. If anything, Rinoa, I'd like to see more ladies on equal footing with guys in the gaming scene. It'd be awesome to see you or other lady Rioters added to the announcer lineup in the future.

However, my original point is that I don't believe that adding a lady to the announcer lineup "just because they have a pretty voice" is a good idea... it would be distracting more than anything else.

jesus put a lady announcer that is high elo/ have played the game enough to have a good knowledge about the game.

Well, Rinoa has better insight into why Riot chose the announcers that they chose. They did a good job, but some diversity besides Karriebear doing ground floor interviews would be nice.

Anymore distracting than adding dudes because of good voices?

No worries, I didn't take any offense to it I'd love to try it for league of legends sometime, but commentating is a lot more difficult than people make it out to be.

Hey, you know what's cool about the setup of a forum? When someone makes a post, it's actually in this thing called a "thread" where replies to it can be made! You don't have to make another thread to give them a response. Isn't that just awesome?
