Ok so this isn't a rage post more something i think will make the game slightly better for everyone, please read on:

#1-my thoughts

I noticed alot even at level 30 alot of people don't know or don't care about balancing a team (wether it be 2ap nuke(1ap nuke-1ap support) and 2 ad with a tank) instead going 4ad and a tank or 4 ap and a tank or no tank at all. i'm not saying this should be the way , i'm not saying it cant work though what i'm saying is alot of people like a balanced team so it is harder for the opposing team to stack up against their damage.

#2-my ideas

I think it would be a great idea if this would be introduced to new starting players in another tutorial along with the other 2 (i thought was a great idea by the way riot) and/or make a seperate game mode or change the other game modes that would force roles to be taken before you que then get matched with people like normal via hidden elo and true elo etc but with a change that it would que you with people that would also play roles you wouldn't want to play at the time.

When it gets to que walla! you pick you ad, ap, tank, support or jungler w/e that you pick and everyones happy.

I had thought of que times changing and i'm sure you'd agree it would probably take slightly longer to que, i'm hoping this would counter-act itself by people trying out the less taken role -tank,jungler etc so that they would que quicker.

I hope this gets a read as i put a bit of thought into it, i would encourage everyone riot and players alike for their thoughts on this (minus the trolls of course),

yours sincerely AusBloodSpilla

I couldn't agree more, a game mode where insta-lockers wont completely screw you over, and more likely those people with no regard for the rest of their team wouldnt use it which would be a huge plus.

+ 1

I think this is a good idea! I like to focus on one champion at a time, so it would make it less awkward when I join a game that has no tanks, and I feel bad about not playing a tank because I don't know how to play any!

I don't know if it would fix this, but I just read a thread that suggested a casual/competitive split in the matchmaking system. I guess a lot of very competitive people play assassin classes (because they like getting kills), though, so I don't know if that would help. I'd like to think that more competitive players would be more likely to balance teams, though. Just a thought.

I can see where you're getting at, it does happen some of the time but as a competitive player personally myself i do play everything but there are times where i dont fancy playing tank all the time and would love a break hence why i'm playing situational morde atm, ap, ad, tank, ap/tank. He is great for it but I would still like to play another champ thats not made for tanking.

Totally. Better onboarding and education can make a HUGE difference to player experience. I think League of Legends has been improving steadily in this department since I've started playing (Battle Training, Co-op vs AI, champ spotlights, community etc.), but we can do a lot more. I'd love to see last-hitting practice mode, team-comp puzzles, and a lot of other tutorial-esque experiences.

It would definitely give the game as a whole a more competitive edge, especially for the non-casuals, i'd rather a close game of skills anyday over a one-sided game

It would be nice to see this worked into an achievement system. Something like WoW has, where you are rewarded (like a title: Minion Slayer *Summor Name*) for completing something, say so many last hits in a game?
