So many of you have noticed that the downtime we just had did not include any new features mentioned in the Patch Notes. This is a result of some issues we found during our final Test cycle before the deploy. The bug that we found was in a very sensitive part of our code, and a quick attempt to fix it could have caused many more problems.
Rather than try a risky last-minute fix, we decided to postpone the actual deploy so we can give this bug the attention it deserves, without creating more risk to the player or game experience.
As a player myself, I'm terribly sorry when things like this happen. I know it sucks when all you want to do is play and the servers are down. I hate giving incorrect information about when a patch is coming, because I don't like getting people's hopes up and then failing to deliver. As of right now, I don't want to make an early prediction about when we will have this fixed and ready to patch out.
We have a lot of new content and features coming soon, and we're trying to get them out to you, the player, as fast as possible. I hope you understand that we are making these tough decisions to hold off on these deploys for now in order to keep League of Legends as consistently stable and fun as possible.
