I'd like to use my own case as an example. Please view the following with an open mind realizing I am not a chronic leaver. On top of that, games that I get booted out of by riot or for external reasons I return ASAP. In fact, as you can see, Riot is not interested in "Justice" or following their own Code of Conduct. I'd like to present my Player Support Ticket to you guys and let my peers be my own Jury. Nothing has been removed or edited but the name of the Riot employee that helped me (and also my personal eMail.)
Side Note:This is an extremely long read and I would appreciate your reading of it. It details the unfairness of Riot's own system along with their inept support staff. I never once got aggressive or upset and I attempted to present my own case. However, I do understand if you do not read this, but this kind of attitude and mentality should spread some truth on the actions of Riot when it concerns it's own community. No text was edited and so my own personal errors do exist within it.

The 85% was a gross underestimate. This an important case to look at and realize that this system doesn't work.

Recently, My computer was slowing down and therefore I restarted at league was frozen. I logged back in after my restart and completed my match. My teammates had no issue with it. About 10 minutes later we win, and I am kicked out off the game. Not only did we win, but it's reasonable to want to play the game at a reasonable frame rate. How in the world is this disciplinary action even deserved? If this stands, you have lost a customer that has invested a good amount of money, time, and ideas into your game. I enjoyed my time but I'm not going to be mistreated.
These temporary suspensions are targeted towards players who leave games excessively or do not contribute to the game. If you are constantly disconnecting from the game you are still going to be temporarily suspended because regardless of the reason you’re leaving or not contributing to the game, you are still making the other player’s experience less enjoyable. It’s up to you to make sure once you commit to a game that you can contribute to it and finish it.

You will be unsuspended on the date listed on the message you receive when trying to login to the League of Legends client. Please note the suspension ends at the same hour it started, as suspensions are applied in 24 hour cycles. Also, your leaver level will reduce as you play subsequent games without leaving or not contributing to the game.

Sorry I didn't realize that you had responded to my request because I didn't recieve an email. My original message was from my iPhone so it was a tad short. I was not looking to get a prewritten message in return for my concerns. I was looking for an actual response which clearly does not happen with this company. What is your definition of "excessively" leaving or "not contributing to the game?" Not only did my team win, but I also contributed a great amount. No one was upset on my team or cared, yet the automated system (much like this response) clearly ignores these things.
I'm upset by the fact that this company thinks this policy is acceptable. The game was won. My teammates were happy. In fact, there is far more benefit playing at a reasonable framerate then playing a skippy framerate. So my solution to this problem in game was to either be worthless or reboot my computer. If you see another solution I'd gladly appreciate the input. I sometimes wonder if there is a memory dump problem with the coding of this game.
I have invested over 100$ into this game and company. I deserve to be treated far by then I am and I merit a legitmate response. I was suspended unjustly. I played an amount of gamers far exceeding 85% that went completely smoothly. They had no difficulties. Yet, I have problems in one or two games over the course of the day and I recieve a temporary ban of 3 days? That is a completely illogical solution and you do not offer enough information on your leaver system to establish ones own credibility within its system.

The above for example is some of my solutions to your game. Unfortunately I have been temporarly suspended before for the same thing, yet, the trolls and immature individuals are the true people that destroy your game. Reconnecting within 5-10 minute mark does not at all merit a 3 day ban. Power outages and family events come up at spontaneous times.
I do not believe that this company had anticipated the support and growth they accomplished. While that is absolutely fantastic that they have grown so much, policies need to be looked at. This is no longer a small community game where policies work as "one size fits all." I do deserve to be unsuspended as I haven't really done anything but attempted to contribute to the game.
I would like to tackle a couple of important notes in your summoner policy that fails to actually address anything:
"Also, remember that you have to be there to contribute, so don’t leave the game or go AFK!"
Don't you think unexpected computer issues come up and they are attempted to be alleiviated immediately?
There needs to be a specific time table. And there is, if you are AFK in the game you will get disconnected. If you don't recieve that message, how is resetting your computer to fix a framerate issue without the permitted time bannable?
That is the easiest example but all of your "laws" are extremely vague. Times are not addressed, suggestions are hardly made; It's easy to see why trolling runs rampant. In the forum post that I made just days ago I mention a lot of this. Focus on the things that actually bring down gameplay and enjoyment value, and get your eye off the easy bannable offense that is readily nonexistant. Focus on the trolling, negative attitude, racism, hatred, and poor sportsman-like conduct that is destroying this game. Again, I have invested a lot of money over my past time enjoying this game, but I will not be mistreated and you can be assured that if I am not unban, I will not be returning.

I understand how these suspensions can seem harsh but this system was put in place for the greater good of the community. I'm sure that if you had a player on your team that left the game or was sitting at base because they disconnected whether it was intentional or not you would wish that someone gave this player some kind of warning for their behavior.
This is exactly how this system was designed, as a reminder that this kind of behavior can lead to a temporary suspension. Players who get suspended for 3 days or more would typically already have received a warning and two temporary suspensions to give them a chance to resolve the issue that would cause them to disconnect.

Honestly I'd rather have a teammate just flat out leave then troll an entire game. In fact, sometimes leaving is reasonable. And those two issues are not nearly the same as mine. I always return as soon as possible. Why should I be punished as harshly or more harshly for finishing the game I entered even though my computer needed to be rebooted? Besides, you hardly even acknowledged my last message.
I have had a warning and this will be my second suspension(I went from a one day suspension to 3 days.) So while this is "typical" it is again not the case. Also how do temporary suspensions aide in fixing the problem? Furthermore, there is no solution to a power outage besides a generator. There is however a solution to poor framerates and that's more efficient software.
Why don't I know how many points my account has and why can't I check it?
Why can't my suspension be lifted?
Why can't I be told the ratio of how points are built and the actual numeric values?
Again your system is archaic and it is a one shoe fits all style. That's unfortunate. If typically, I'm supposed to have two suspensions before a 3 day suspension than apparently this system is flawed.
Not only does this suspension seem harsh, it is completely unwarranted and unreasonable.

I understand that this can be harsh but it is in place to ensure leavers get punished. While it may catch players for issues such as loss of internet or power we cannot make individual judgements for every case. If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Still waiting on a response. I hope this shows the faults of the AFK and RIOT point system. Not only do I not know how many points I have, I also completed greater than 85% of my games that day without a problem or a hitch. Early in the day, I had a game of a power outage and my last game where I was immediately suspended after, I won with a team that was happy. There was no chance for my teammates to even report me (not that they were at all upset about the circumstances and understood that my computer was giving me a bad framerate) and I was removed from the client before even seeing the Stats screen. The unfortunate treatment and lack of knowledge by the support staff should be concerning to everyone. My own outcome should not have the most focus.
