I can't even remember what job at Riot Nyandalee has, but from what I understand it's a pretty common practice for game designers/programmers to come from completely unrelated college Majors.

Yes, even though my focus in school wasn't music composition. My degree was sort of a hybrid between recording techniques, music performance, and music business. Allowing us to focus on what we wanted to the most. For me that was Recording Arts, Audio Post Production and Music/Audio Technology.

But as with a lot of positions in a lot of industries, I've found its mostly about what you can actually do, and less about what your degree says.

Any creative writing majors? I expect the writing staff, but am curious if it is true :P
