Yes we actually discussed that in our last support meeting. I think it is a very fun idea.

It solves some of the sustain problem, but doesn't solve the "supports don't want to farm" problem.

All we need for more people to support 0 CS support is more support-specific items. (Couldn't have put more "support" in that sentence if I tried.)

We need a Wriggle's Lantern for support. Currently the only real goal is Shurelya's, so... after that there's really nothing but the super expensive late-game items a support can only dream of. That's when people start complaining that they should have farmed and come rage on the forums.

I have a small idea, how about assists on creep kills (since a good support will help the carry farm by taking down the waves health a bit) would result in a small portion of bonus gold being given for the creep assist?

Say 3-5 gold per creep? not a huge amount, but with a gold per build it all adds up and allows the support to itemize pretty well.

I don't think people understand the point of these nerfs... Shurelia isn't sitting there going, "I can't wait to nerf all support until they are utterly useless!".

Instead of spending 30 minutes sitting in the middle of the lane last hitting because nobody can take a turret since someone is always in lane, the idea is to reduce the flat healing in exchange for other bonuses (Armor/Magic Resist). The idea is so the game doesn't drag on for an hour before people reach bases.

You're job isn't to carry, just take whatever CS you're carry can't get (if they're out of lane for example), get Heart of Gold, Philo Stone, 1 gold per 10 sec Quints and get assists and control dragon and Baron thanks to your wards...ta da. Essentially it feels like they want to make support more like Janna (shield and small heal on Ulti), which is fine. They just don't want the 30 minute farmfest...

There are ways to make supports do things other than making them have to farm. Remember when Sona was used more to zone and harass with her Q before the fact they took Soraka forced you to max W all the time to counter sustain? Those were good times.
