Just a heads up not sure if you guys are aware of these couple of things relating to Canadian/foreign players;

1. When you buy Riot points with a credit card, even when you select the country as Canada and select your province it asks you for a ZIP code, not everyone in the world uses ZIP codes. I just type in my postal code and it works anyways but just saying for uneducated (stupid) people this could probably confuse them. You'd be surprised how many Canadians have never been the to U.S or have no idea what the hell a ZIP code is (a lot of them).

2. This doesn't apply to many people but if you end up fixing this problem just for me that'd be awesome. Clearly this isn't top priority stuff. I live in a place called Newfoundland in Canada. We are on a time zone that is kind of strange in the fact that we are offset by 30 minutes to the time zone next to us. NST (Newfoundland Standard Time) is 3 hours and 30 minutes behind of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).

Anyways, basically this means that when I que up for a game, it starts my "actual" wait time at 30:00...then 30:01, 30:02 etc. Don't know if this is a simple fix or what but basically all the time stamps in the game for me are offset by 30 minutes.

Just some small stuff you guys can fix. Excited about season 2.

I'm pretty sure Postal Code and ZIP Code are interchangeable terms as they're both used simply as a way to sort mail.

I'm not sure if this is true. It's possible though I literally know of people who haven't got a clue what a ZIP code is. Just saying most sites when you change the country the asking information changes (such as from province to state or vice versa). Don't understand why this client could not be the same way.

Just a suggestion.

ZIP stands for Zone Improvement Plan, which I'm almost 100% sure is a US Institution.

Looked it up:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postal_code

They're synonymous.
It's just that here in America we have a fancy name for it. But like I said, it's just a code used to sort mail for delivery.

And yeah, I get why you'd like it changed because it could be confusing to people. I honestly think it would be easier to just put 'postal code' as even people here in the US know what that is.

Good catch on the Zip code thing, I'll forward that along. Also going to test out the NST time zone to see what affects it has. I'm kind of curious to see what's going on there myself!

You are correct that they are synonymous...but only in the USA. For example every ZIP code is a Postal Code (Postal Code being an international term, ZIP being nation specific), but not every Postal Code is a ZIP code.

But yeah it's just for the purposes of not confusing dumb people. Riot would probably make more money off changing it as children everywhere won't be running around trying to find out what their ZIP code is and getting frustrated and giving up

Thanks, and yeah it's only NST in the winter I think during daylights savings time its NDT or whatever but I literally know very little about timezones so don't quote me on that.

I just know all my timestamps are off by 30 minutes when i'm in Newfoundland, and they are not when I live in Alberta.

Effects. Affects is a verb. Effects is a noun.
