Ambearsador Soupcup leaned on the armrest of his throne, pondering the events that had led him to this position. His loyal advisors, Spades, Andersworth, and Blind Trooper were huddled near the door of the hall discussing their next moves. For the time, there was nothing to do but wait. The Grand Marshall of the IsC had sent word that he was leading an army to the Brotherhood’s lands. But in the meantime, Soupcup thought it best that his men simply rested and prepared. For soon, there would be no time to rest. But as Soupcup considered these things, a clamor rose up from the courtyard outside. It was far too early for the IsC to be arriving. What could possibly be causing such a stir? Spades, Andersworth, and Blind exchanged glances, then looked to Soupcup. Their eyes were wide and their faces were stretched with disbelief. They rushed outside. Soupcup rose and followed, eager to see what had surprised his advisors so.
As he rushed into the courtyard, his eyes too went wide. Then, as if by reflex, he dropped to one knee and bowed low. For there, standing at the gates to the Brotherhood’s fortress, was their leader, Lord Volibar. He had returned from his pilgrimage. A cheer rose up from the Brotherhood so great that their buildings shook and the earth rumbled.
This was a glorious day to be a bear... with armor.

"How's a man supposed to sleep with all this racket?" Baneson grumbled as he rolled out of the spare bed provided to him in the Infirmary. How Flamell was still asleep was even more baffling to him as he'd expected a soldier as well trained as he to be a lighter sleeper. Then again, a good warrior got whatever sleep he could, when he could.
"What of my brother? Any word from the Shadowed Isles?" Flamell had ask him. Baneson didn't know where his brother had gone, so he had neglected to answer. Knowing Flamell's brother, he was probably on his way to their location even as Flamell lay resting, but these were uncertain times and most of the time things rarely went as expected.
Having successfully struck up an alliance with the Brotherhood of the Armored Bear they were to set out for Parrotopia to receive their new orders, but they were constantly delayed, so he, Flamell, and the Armored Bear Spades had decided to wait until morning before setting out to arrange a meeting with Lord IronStylus.
"If the Brotherhood expects us to reach Parrotopia in any form of haste they could at least keep their enthusiasm to a dull roar," he thought to himself, chuckling at his unintended pun.
Dressing swiftly, he slipped outside to see what the commotion was all about. What awaited him was simply stunning.
All the assembled Armored Bears were gathered before the gates of the keep, either sunk down to one knee or weapons raised high in salute to the lone figure standing at the entrance, who could be none other than Volibar, leader of the Brotherhood of the Armored Bears.
"I think this changes our plans a bit." Baneson said, with no one but that shadows to hear him.
