So I've been my groups main jungler for like 6 months, and one of my friends who has refused to jungle for so long finally decided to try it out as jungle malphite. We were discussing builds and he keeps telling me bladed armor is a good skill and looking at it it's 3 points for 2 reduction from minions and 6 returned damage. IMHO this is a really bad buy for the defence tree even jungling since it will shave off like a second from your jungle and be worthless after lvl 4. Can someone explain why you'd even want this skill besides junglers who are extremely slow like Warwick. Getting this on fast junglers like malphite/udyr/ nocturne is just dumb.

You're telling me you don't see how ungodly awesome bladed armor is?


Well, lets put it this way.
Compare it to the offense tree. There, you spend three mastery points to get an extra three single target damage.
Bladed armor is one mastery that gives you an extra six AOE damage. That's twice the effect for a third of the necessary devotion, and the masteries it comes with are naught to scoff at either.



Do you really jungle, or are you making that up to sound credible?

I tried it on Amumu and found it to be really worthwhile. Jungle clear speeds up appreciably. It's likely not as effective on other junglers, but for Rammus and Amumu I see alot of value.

Required to jungle? Nah. Nice to have? Sure.

It's excellent on certain champions, and worthless on others.

For example, it takes a full attack off pretty much every jungle mob as Xin, but provides no benefit at all to Riven.

What's going to do more damage to jungle monsters: 6 damage to them, each time they attack you, or 3-4 bonus damage on your attacks?

The former, by far. Also, blocking 1 damage like that is NOTHING to scoff at. Picking that up with the other flat damage block will shave a significant portion of damage off of the jungle monsters.

I use it on jungle Poppy. It definitely makes things easier.
