Well, it seems that this patch may just have an armored bear. I'd like to thank you all for your resistance to their threat, but I'd like to officially come out to give my tentative support for Armored Bears.
I'm sure you are all asking... How is Zileas of all people supporting armored bears?
The answer: Vicodin.
That's right. Vicodin. Some people on the internet market it as "V1c0d1n" and occasionally "Vicod1n". It's secondly only to "V14gr4" for online-marketed drugs, so it should be no surprise that it could have such a profound effect on an online game.
You see... I had knee surgery last week. As I was going under for surgery, I had a really distorted freaky vision of an armored bear attacking my knee. I have no idea if it was a propofol induced hallucination, or an omen... But it has affected me greatly. Soon after, I woke up to find it swollen and limped home on crutches. As if a bear had bitten my leg...
To cope with the pain, I had to take Vicodin. I apparently do not interact well with narcotics, as it seems that it has altered my brain chemistry enough that I, at least for now, think that an armored bear might just be an OK idea. At an intellectual level, I understand this makes little sense, but I strangely feel this way anyway.
That being said, I've taken a few precautions, such as insisting that Zilean have an "armored bear hater" buff that significantly increases his effectiveness against armored bears.
Lastly, I'd like to ask all of you who have deep suspicion of armored bears, to realize that I still have not fully abandoned the anti-armored animal crusade. I will strongly resist any attempts at armored gerbils, hamsters, and most especially, ferrets. Oh, and don't take drugs, kids. Drugs are bad. They make you do weird things.
