Yeah a friend of mine experiences the issue. Loses his cursor on Dominion only.

He has AMD Mobile 5700 series graphics. I think you may be right that it's an AMD mobile GPU issue. Sounds like a srs pain to have to grab a specific type of notebook and sit there screwing with settings and figuring out the cause.

I've been running on an old-ish NVidia card for a while now, and have not experienced this.

Tomorrow, I'm buying a new desktop which will come with a somewhat old Radeon card. I'll post if I ever experience the issue.

But to add to the thread, a while back (1 or 2 patches ago) Panth's HSS passive was lacking an image and was sometimes getting replaced by the image of other buffs that got applied to him. Maybe its a similar bug and a HUD element is overwriting the cursor? Definately strange though that you have to completely purge the GPU cache to fix it.

I have an ATI mobility Radeon HD 4650, and I'm sometimes affected by this issue; when playing dominion, the cursor may disappear either briefly or permanently - sometimes it is simply replaced by a narrow line which is difficult to see.

im using ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650.

it happens so often to ... so i should stop playing dominions? since theres no answer to fixing it?

i'll be sure to bring this up again after the holiday break. it seems like there's enough confirmation to go forward assuming that hardware is the issue.
i'm curious to know though:
what are the video settings of the players that are affected by this?
like, resolutions, full screen vs windowed vs borderless, detail level, etc.

there may be a workaround by using specific settings, but i'm not able to research that at this time.

edit: to answer your question, unless there's a known workaround i'm sad and sorry to say that avoiding dominion might be the correct choice for the time being. hopefully we can find a workaround to alleviate the symptoms in the meantime, but until then playing dominion is putting yourself and teammates at risk of being victimized by this bug.

Dunno if it's any help, but I've also experienced this bug on my laptop, intermittently.
I run in Fullscreen mode, on high (I think, will confirm when I next play a game) settings, and I'm on an Asus laptop with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730 graphics card.
I have a good friend with the same model laptop, who has also experienced the bug, but only once. Neither of us have this problem when playing on other computers.

i have the same problem and it throws off my game completely, i have to activate a skill shot ability to see where my cursor is and move from there, it is a pain

I get the cursor corruption every 4-5 games of dominion, aka: invisible cursor but you can clearly see it when using a targetable skills (E for talon, E for wukong...). If I change my resolution, the cursors reappears correctly after 2-10 seconds since I play in Fullscreen, if I change that for windowed and the bug occurs, I'm done and I need to restart my computer to make the cursors reappears correctly.

I'm on a Intel Core 2 Duo (E8400)
Motherboard: P5QL-PRO
Video Card: ASUS (ATI) Radeon 4870 512MB
