How do "4 win IP boosts" work? Do you only get the IP boost if you win? If you lose, does "# of win IP boosts - 1" happen? Or if you win one, and lose the next one, will you still have "3 win IP boost"?

The latter. You win. Get a boost in your IP. You lose. Don't lose any of your boosts.

As TwistWrist mentioned, your 4 Win IP Boost will last until you've won 4 games.

Our other type of IP boost is an "X Day IP Boost", for example, a "3 Day IP Boost". This kind of boost will last for three days and earn you bonus IP on all loses and wins during that time frame.

You can buy both IP Boosts and use them at the same time. They will each return bonus IP for you when you win a game. When you lose, you'll just earn IP from the "X Day IP Boost".

question....do the 4 win ip boosts count custom games and co-op vs AI? If I win a custom game does is subtract one from my 4 wins to get boosted? if so, I need to make sure and ONLY play pvp when I buy a boost so as to maximize my IP.
