What a victory

It's great that SOPA/PIPA have been defeated and that so many people stood up against bad legislation. But the celebration is unfortunately short lived because as others have pointed out, there is other legislation out there designed to steal our freedoms.

Keep in mind, this isn't like American freedom defeating Communism. This isn't us vs. them. This is American lawmakers creating and voting for unconstitutional bills. It's Republicans and Democrats being paid millions of dollars to vote a certain way, placing their self-interests above the interests of the American citizens they claim to represent, and once again breaking their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution.

Once our own lawmakers here in America quit trying to rule over our lives, limit our freedoms, and gain more power and money for themselves at our expense, then freedom will ring once again and we can truly celebrate.

Good news but the US government is still invading our privacy with other laws about to pass. Such as the Protecting Children from Internet Pornographers Act of 2011. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protect...rs_Act_of_2011

So all of our activity can still be tracked and used against us if this passes and who is going to vote no on a bill with a name like that?!

That is true JunkBoy45 but we should be proud of ourselfs for this small but big victory in the grand scheme of things.

are those gone forever or is it delayed one year?

cause i asked around and some said its delayed for one year

SOPA shelved, megaupload closed...not much of a victory q.q
