Due to everyone having a gap closer of some sort nowadays, how about they remake Ashe's volley? Instead of it shooting a bunch of arrows in a cone standing still, how about she does a backflip, creating distance, and then shoots the arrows in the same cone while in mid-air, so she can still be an amazing kiter, without any damage buffs? Not to mention it would look badass.

Edit: To those who think it's a gap closer, it's not. It's the opposite. It would be used for defensive purposes.

Perma slow+Long Range Stun+ AoE slow+ a dash to keep her safe would make her kiting too strong. Maybe a movspeed buff or something but a dash on ashe would be crazy. Not to mention how volley would be useless for chasing an enemy unless there are several.

Then she would literally be impossible to catch. Half the reason there are so many gap closers now is because of Ashe and her kiting ability.

Or they could make her Q her passive, similar to Sej's passive, and then give her a gap closer on her Q...

you talk about a gap closer, but the back flip you suggest is essentially a gap widener. if you back flip towards the enemy (like cait's net), then you miss out on ashe's only damaging skill aside from the small damage from ult. while caitlyn's trade off is utility-based, ashe's (with this change) would make the tradeoff damage or utility based, essentially becoming counter intuitive to the role of an ad carry.

Ashe was designed without a gap-closer.
You don't need a gap-closer to handle people with gap-closers.
