The short answer is no, it's not possible to change your username. However, you can change your Summoner Name with a purchase in the Riot Store. It's under the "Other" tab.

Out of curiosity, is there any reason you would want to change your username? It's not public facing, so other players will never see it.

Maybe its super long, and due to an unfortunate explosion he has lost one of his hands, making it extremely inconvenient to type with his remaining hand?

I kinda wish I could change mine too. :/

Just because it's a bad username. I'd rather have it changed to something related to my current usernames I use on other sites.

my user and old summoner was deaduntildark and i find it weird now having them different haha

You don't even have to type it every single time once you click on "Remember Password"

my in game name and username are different most mmo/online games i play. paranoid i suppose makes me feel safer
