I played with an Amumu yesterday on my smurf who went mid against a smurf Annie. After his second death in the first 5 minutes, I asked if he was going to be okay in mid. Crickets. After a third death, I said "Amumu go bot, Annie seems to be getting the better of the exchanges. I'll see if I can stop her" and went mid.
... Amumu stayed in mid, dove her under their turret when her stun was up and died again. I asked him again to go bot. Crickets. I asked if he spoke english and if we had a communication problem. Crickets. After his fifth death he says "this is like my second time playing, is this champion just weak or something?"
I explained Annie was OBVIOUSLY a smurf and playing a very strong champion and that he would be better served to go bottom lane against their lower level players. He finally listened and, despite going 0/7, I had no intention of reporting him... until he said "**** THIS ****!" when fed Annie 3 shot him, and left the game. (I reported for leaving, not feeding)
So you have to take into account the level of skill the player has. He wasn't intentionally feeding, he was just new and may not have even been reading chat while I was trying in vain to advise him how NOT to die.
With feeding, if someone isn't going kamikaze on the enemy base or turrets, I generally won't report, despite very negative scores. Remember, I went 0/13 on Sion once. It happens.
