AFKs and Leavers are dealt with nearly immediately from our LeaverBuster systems; however, this means they have already ruined at least 1 game with their behavior. We are working on improving these systems and possibly revising the punishments associated with them, but those players are being dealt with.

Could you retroactively forgive losses in games with a leaver that got punished by the system later? I.E., lose my game from a leaver, and the leaverbuster bans them a week later, so I get my ELO refunded.

Would make having a leaver less punishing, and would discourage bullying people into leaving, since only habitual leavers get punished.

Try to categorize who the players use (i.e if the person tends to use a lot of bruisers or a lot of supports) and try to queue them with people who would fill in the empty slots. This way there would be less arguments about who plays what and it would help immensely.

If there could be some system where they tend to use bruisers a lot, it'll categorize them with another bruiser (jungle or top) 2 AP's (mid and support) and a Ranged ad carry (self explanatory). I'm not an expert and I don't know how this could be implemented, even if at all, but it sure would help the community out a tad bit.

And it might also solve a few problems where people are put into positions they're not good at or they can't play or even they haven't played. Thus causing a loss for the team/reports/back talking.

This idea is slightly better than having Elo loss forgiven or piled upon the leaver regardless of their LeaverBuster status. However, the same concerns still apply--given that players know there is a chance that bullying a player to leave may trigger a LeaverBuster ban on them and they possibly could reduce their Elo loss, most players will simply go for it.

After all, if they do not bully a player to leave, they are guaranteed Elo loss. If they bully a player to leave, they may trigger LeaverBuster and may reduce Elo loss. There is no downside to trying to bully a player to leave.

Oh Snap, Riot is developing Minority Report technology to predict when players will leave in the future and ban them before it ever happens!

I have read a nice idea and am not sure if it could be used. In games where there is a player who decides to go afk in the beggining i figure after a few min's of the player not leaving the base the game is to reset penalizing the player by a loss in elo and some type of suspention from playing for say 30min. so then the person cannot just Re-Que, that way ppl. are not stuck in a game with a smaller team and the afk'er gets the proper punishment. and it saves the rest of the team who is suffering the trolling player from losing elo due to a lack luster game.

Not sure if a system like this can be produced but it may fix some of the elo hell or in general bad games due to shart handed teams.

You could make one.

You could easily make this a punishable offense, and send people who do this to the Tribunal.

Edit: Also, here's something else to consider. If your concern with this system is people bullying someone into leaving, what's keeping you from implementing this for people that leave right at the start of the game? I know I've had many games that were 4v5 right from the start, or within 5 minutes of starting. You can't bully someone into leaving before they've even had a chance to do poorly, it would seem to me.

I believe a great addition, would be maybe an option somewhere that lets people who speak mainly a specific language, get teamed up more with people who selected that same language box. I do not hate people who are from other countries or speak different languages, however it is frustrating when I get matched up with a team that speaks Spanish. Granted I do have to learn it anyways, it does get a bit annoying having to resort to pinging or attempting to communicate when were both just speaking in our own language..

I don't want you to kick them out of games, just set it up so people who speak the same language can play with other people who speak that language. We should still be able to face them at least.
