I have my Master's in counseling and I really hope that you guys at least have some sort of place to vent frustrations that can come from dealing with this "community" at times and of course the common stresses that would come from your job in general.

Every day I come to these threads and read some of the most hurtful and harsh statements towards you guys (sometimes specific Riot employees). People rage, complain, whine, and seem to give you very little credit for all of your hard work and willingness to even answer their questions (which you really don't have to).

When I read these thoughtless and immature threads I always wonder the impact that it has on you guys. You guys put many hours and hard work into this game and (no matter what pr comment you can give) it has to hurt a little bit to hear people raging and complaing so often about something that you may have put your heart into.

Obviously not everybody does this within the community......but as human beings we remember 3 negatives to 1 positive.....so to counteract that we need to have 3 positives to simply cancel out 1 negative. And I def. see more negative threads than "ty" threads.

I hope that you guys have some enjoyable activities outside of work, friends you hang out with, family you spend quality time with, a great book/magazine to read, exercise, spiritual/religious involvement, or other such things that can bring a smile to your face. And also, everyone could use a little counseling at some point within their lifetime (it's good to have a non bias person hear you out).

I want you guys to know that I personally appreciate the hard work you have place into this company and the willingness you have to

a. hear us out and change things for us
b. deal with us
c. appologise when you guys do mess up

These things show me (and many others I know) that you guys are a good company and you do care about the community. I just hope that you guys are doing things to care for yourselves.

EDIT: Downvotes? Seriously? People are so angry at Riot they can't even have compassion for them as human beings? Wow.....

Good guy Riot takes a beating yet still keeps communication lines open.

I really can't understand why people complain about Riot so much.

I've played a variety of games. Compared to Nexon (lol) it's not even a competition. Riot blows them outta the water in terms of communication, getting things fixed, server stability (servers were up and down for about 2 weeks straight, no exaggerations) and just producing a better quality game.

AreaNET is a great company and their game (Guild Wars) is awesome. However, in terms of how much AreaNET talks to the players, no comparison. Riot wins here again. It amazes me.

SquareEnix (Final Fantasy XI/XIV) was near nonexistent in my mind. I don't remember ever seeing them come around forums, I don't recall any awesome displays on their end. GMDave is the only thing I remember about FFXI, and I've actually never played XIV.


All in all, Riot listens to the community, owns up to their mistakes on a personal level (Unlike say, Nexon, who the RARE times they own up to their mistakes they announce it as "server instability, here, have a 2x exp weekend which will cause everybody to want to log in and make the servers unstable, we're sorry") Riot talks to the community directly. I'm pretty sure I've seen posted where they flat out said "We ****ed up, we know, we're sorry, we're working on fixing it. We'd tell you more but we don't want to mislead you and this is still in planning stages." which is AWESOME to me. Here on the forums, they interact with us like we're people playing their game, not customers.

I've only been playing this game for ~3weeks, maybe going on a month by now, but Riot has impressed me over and over again. I really want anybody who complains about them to go play for another free to play gaming company and watch as they come CRAWLING back to Riot.

Plus, I met with them at my college career fair and they were cool guys. Free T-shirts are a nice touch too.

Love this game, love this gaming company.
