What's the difference between using Smart-Cast and Smart-Cast with Range Indicators with the skill then?

Ashe has a bow - She can stun

Vayne has a crossbow - She can stun

Varus has a bow - He will be able to stun


Ezreal has a magic bow - Sorry, doesn't count. Ezreal sad.

So was there any specific game / novel / movie / etc. that you based Varus's look and feel off of? He seems reminiscent of the Fate/Stay Night anime / visual novel to me, but i'm really curious about whether you drew inspiration from anything or made him up entirely on your own.

That being said, I really love your work Meddler - Ziggs instantly shot up to being one of my favorite champs the day he was released and Varus looks like an instabuy for me. Keep up the great champions!

Instant AOE CC (a stun at that) that's hard to miss in Sona's case, versus a much narrower single target skillshot with delayed multi target potential (which itself has a lot of potential counterplay) basically. AOE CC also tends to be much more acceptable on casters and Varus does have elements of an AD/hybrid caster to him, rather than being more of a pure carry like some other champions.

His poke's good certainly, so I can believe he might do ok there for some matchups. A lot of fighters will be able to jump on him and trade well however, plus he doesn't have a strong defense against ganks until he gets his ult so bot and mid are generally going to be better homes for him.

AOE spell vamp for the ult. Have seen Rageblade/Gunblade work better than Nashor's, though haven't tested hybrid builds to the same extent we've tested AD builds given AD's intended to be his most common build path.

Judging whether to save abilities to proc W stacks or use them for other purposes is one of the key trade things to master to maximize his dps. It also means that the value of CDR varies significantly depending on how often you find yourself unable to proc stacks due to abilities being on CD (leads to some interactions with CDR and attack speed as a result, with attack speed increasing the attractiveness of CDR to a degree).

No difference at present. We did try testing with the usual skillshot line indicators, having said indicator up and flicking around the screen however as you issued move orders tended to be very annoying and off-putting however.
