If you play Kayle top lane, should she be played Ad or Ap or Hybrid?

AD or heavy attackspeed. AP is basically worthless on her at the moment, unless you're pursuing some gimmicky Gunblade+DFG active build.

If it was tweaked to be longer at all ranks, it would arguably become too easy to use effectively.
Then, what of a shorter cooldown, or making the ultimate global? Make lanes significantly more aggressive in giving

It needs to be 2.5/2.75/3 at least. Every other champion gets a huge boost at lvl 6 kayle gets 2 seconds (seriously). Most hard CC lasts longer, Kayle can't cast it if she's hard CC'd so there is plenty of counterplay already.

Someone really needs to look at Kayle properly - Its not that hard.

Kayle's W needs to be reverted back to 10 seconds (or lower) : change the healing amount to match it. This will allow kayle to use Trinity Force more effectively as well as giving her the mobility she used to have. This will also allow her to keep Rageblade stacks up better, as well as charge up a Manamune. There is no reason for Kayle to have such long cooldowns when Hybrid items benefit greatly from having spammable abilities.

Kayle's abilities need to proc her passive. Kay'le short range (and poor mobility) means you often cant chase an enemy that far. It currently takes an absurd amount of time to max her passive.

I think kayle is an awesome jungling ad carry, and with the coming buff I expect she is going to start seeing a lot more play

Pure physical is the only way to go, but going top against somebody who knows how to lane against Kayle you will just go OoM and get zoned before they run out of pots. It's better to stay in the jungle where you can farm with just splash.

While some of these ideas may be good suggestions for Kayle's direction in the future, and though I definitely enjoy talking about Kayle and ways to make her more fun and enjoyable for the community, this thread probably isn't the perfect venue for doing so. Part of that is my bad for contributing to conversation that doesn't really contribute to the OP's original inquiry - top lane Kayle advice.

Of course I'd always be happy to talk Kayle mechanics elsewhere, but for this thread, we should probably stick to advice for the person seeking it

Kayle wins trades in top lane. Start Boots/3, go DBlade into Black Cleaver/TriForce, then get CDR and Auras. Kayle doesn't scale as well with damage as AD Carries, but is a good way to merge the support/carry role.

She indeed wins trades top vs everybody, but only while her mana lasts. Her mana cost on trades is huge and she's not good at forcing a commited fight. Virtually every popular top can start with pots and run her mana dry before running out of pots by trade-disengage with her early and often. Once her mana is low she can be zoned easily.

any inquire into her ablities or builds would be nice, cause its something that i can apply, or hope for in buffs, so by all means, talk away!
