I have a lore question. Is the same effect that brought Yorick back to life also affecting Amumu and possibly to a lesser extent Karthus?

Karthus is a liche assumed to be brought about by him trying to enter the waters of the Howling Marshes (though nothing is confirmed), and where Yorick comes from, we can assume that him being undead is natural. As to how Amumu came back to life, and more importantly to me, what a Yordle was doing in the desert? Hell if I know.
