I realize that this is one example and from early in development but how does a little girl wanting to kill people relatable?

If you look at all the coolest, most unique champions in the game - the vast majority come from the original 40. After they started getting sale data they discovered that most of their playerbase wants generic muscle/boob humans rather than quirky and unique champions. Annie, Amumu, Anivia, Dr. Mundo, Nunu, Rammus, Soroka, Twitch, or Zilean would never have been made under the current direction of champion concepts. Which makes me incredibly sad because the quirky champions with stylized art is what made me choose LoL over HoN and ever since then they have been moving away from the style that attracted me to be more realistic, generic fantasy buff/sexy humans.
