Basically LoL has not been used on this computer since 2010 and as such still has the old launcher on it. The old launcher just says it is unable to connect even though I have my firewall off. It also has this in the log

Another annoying issue I ran into is that I was unable to uninstall the program through the control panel so I tried downloading the latest version of LoL off the site but when I try to install it the program errors out saying that I already have version 1.2.000 and that I have to uninstall the previous version which I am unable to do.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Super old launchers are no longer able to update.

Try reinstalling following this guide, http://support.leagueoflegends.com/e...gue-of-legends to help you remove the old files that are holding up your install.

I followed all and steps and I am currently downloading the setup again so I will reply later when it is finished.

The setup files I downloaded from the site still refuse to install saying I have version 1.20.000 and that I have to uninstall it even though I've deleted all the files and cleaned out my registry.

Try downloading this zip and extract the .reg file in it. Then simply click on the .reg and it will ask to make changes to your registry. All it does is remove any Riot Games entries from your registry. If you'd like to inspect it first right-click it and open it with Notepad.
