The thing is, games will automatically list someone as out-of-game if they go past a certain time limit (I believe something like four hours), as it's basically impossible for a game to continue for that long, if this has been occurring for a long time, that most likely isn't the issue.
Yes, that is whats happening it seems. It is thinking I'm still in the previous match, so it makes me click "retry" until I am out of it. But this just started happening suddenly after the spectate patch. And there doesn't seem to be any way I can fix it on my end, seeing as how it is happening on multiple systems and two separate ISPs...

Blah.

I just restarted my computer. The first match connected on its own. I alt + f4 out of the game, create a new match, and I get the DC twice.

Every subsequent match will disconnect, it seems like it still sees me as in the previous game.

To confirm this, I just ctrl + alt + delete and closed absolutely everything involving LoL. Started the client again, first match works. Close the game, open again, DCs.

Something is causing LoL to not register that I have in fact left the match.

And that seems to me like an issue Riot is going to have to take care of...which sucks because it will probably be a while -,-
If the first game works, but subsequent games fail to connect, i think I see what the issue is.
Make sure you exit the game properly (Quit Game or 'Continue'), if you don't, such as Alt + f4'ing or 'Ending the Process', it will still list you as in-game, which prevents you from joining another one (atleast for a few hours, till it automatically removes you).

EDIT: It may work if you check for any LoL processes after a match (that you exited out of using the quit/continue buttons), and end them before you start another.

But I have to do it after every match. Which is even more work than just clicking retry.

Even when exiting properly it happens though. If I end the game, click "play again" or simply exit to the home screen and click "play" it still happens.

From the time I click "end game" it is no longer in my control. Something is causing my character to remain in that game for an extended period of time it seems.

I've just tried connecting 2 computers to the same account. This is exactly the same issue. One of them is in game, I try to join on the other, the first time it disconnects my side, the second time I click retry, it disconnects the other machine.

So yea. My account for some reason is remaining in game longer than it should...

Do you normally alt-f4 out of games?

Ok, I did a custom game and exited properly. At which point I also closed out of LoL completely.

Went to start LoL again, and I get the error that my client is still running and would I like to end it.

Something is keeping my client from closing down after each match. Sigh....

It may work if you check for any LoL processes after a match (that you exited out of using the quit/continue buttons), and end them before you start another, can you check at the moment and see if this will let you connect to a subsequent game? If that doesn't work, try restarting your client before you queue for another match, if it says 'Another instance of the Client is running, would you like to end it?' Say yes, then re-log in, and start a custom game, seeing if it allows you to connect properly.

So does this mean you're giving Riot $50 RP?

Yes it does. So something is causing my client / launcher to hang on the previous match which makes my subsequent match act as if I am trying to connect when that account is already in a match in progress...

Now what can I do to make that stop? Probably nothing -,-
