What?

If you press tab and bring up the roster for the game, there's a little talk bubble to the far right of each players name for both teams. click it and they are ignored. you can also do it manually from the chat box.

First off 90% of reports are due to the piss poor match making system pitting players against each other that are no where near the same skill level.

To improve the tribunal add replays. You already record log files to upload to players to spectate games. Use this for tribunal. And require the replay be viewed.

And then allow the ability to ban the person writing a bogus report. Which can be deduced from watching replays.

The current system of providing chat logs does not give the needed information to support banning players for anything other than talking spit. Which is honestly the least important part of the tribunal.

Waa waa waa he said something that makes me upset but because I am to stupid to ignore them I feel the need to get vengence through the report system. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

Current Question of the Week [5/21/2012]:

1) If you could add one feature into the game that addresses player behavior, what would it be?

A: I would add a vote to kick option during ranked. Some players go into que spewing negativity, demands that if not mess the player will feed, troll, etc and the list goes on. I hate reading"GG, we don't have(fill in whatever champion you like)" and "WTF you sorry piece of S@$!% , why would you F@$# pick(fill in whatever champion you like).

Since we're talking about 4 v 5's, I'm gonna repeat what I had said which is:

I have something that pertains to peoples attitudes and such that also deals with leavers. So when someone leaves your game, whether it be a DC ( which you guys really need to work on, it's really pissing me off how I don't get a loss forgiven or my elo back when someone leaves and it's an unwinnable 4 v 5 ) or an actual rage quit, it pisses everyone off on that persons team. So unless that player takes a break to forget about the free elo he just gave, he's gonna be in a salty mood. The next game he goes might set him off, and he's play sloppy, ragin and give up. And this literally might've happened only because of that DC/leave. So all in all, you guys need a way to give players that have to face a 4 v 5 a loss forgiven, their elo back or something to help them get a fair chance in that game. Because in the end, that single thing can destroy a bunch of players moods and gameplay, and might be the thing that gets them banned/suspended/reported.

Please answer this too, I just had a DC that led to a loss and I'm mad. Thankfully I'm taking a break but this happens multiple times a day in my games and its just making me wanna quit because I have to climb back up by playing well, I have to do everything I can to get my elo back, I have to try and make everyone play nice again, I have to refrain from raging. You see how many I's are in this, but no " Riot helps me " ? Yeah...

Well maybe that should be stated somewhere? I certainly didn't know of its existence. Thanks for the info.

Nah. That'd be abused when I'm last pick and refuse to go support or tank.

Well, actually, I'd be fine with it being implemented, as long as it gives NO elo loss whatsoever.

It's not related to player behavior per se, but, perhaps there can be a better system for matching with teammates, if only due to the language barrier?

I was playing with what I assume were Spanish speaking individuals the other day, who couldn't speak or understand English, so it was frustrating when the only bilingual person on the team disconnected... I'm also pretty sure that they proceeded to curse me out in the post game chat for not knowing how to play when I kept trying to tell them what needed to be done...

I know quite a few users are interested in what I define as a 'toxic' game. It is obvious that from player to player, there are differences in expectations so the definition of a toxic game can be quite varied across the League of Legends playerbase. However, let me challenge the players on this:

If you played a game of League of Legends and something another player did in the game caused you to not want to play anymore... isn't that a toxic game? If something another player did happened in the game that made the game not fun, isn't that a toxic game?

My point is, surveys and polls like this do not tell me exactly how many games are toxic and how many toxic players exist in the game--the reality of the situation is we cannot calculate those numbers from just any one survey or research experiment. However, this poll helps me paint a high level picture of "How often do players feel like they had a match that was not enjoyable?"

So for the players answering the poll, just answer honestly based on your own expectations and standards. How many games do you feel were not fun? That's all I care about and I will take care of the data interpretation

EDIT ::: Just to clarify, I am not saying these are the players that deserve punishment or deserve to be reported. I am simply asking players, "How often are you having fun?" or conversely, "How often are you not having fun?" in League of Legends. This definition has nothing to do with our punishment systems.

Figured I'd weigh in with my two cents.

1) Why do you participate in the Tribunal?
When I do, it's either because I can't play League for a while and would still like some way to gain IP, or because I am genuinely curious about cases being reported and how I can help out.

2) What is your most requested feature in the Tribunal?
For pre-game and post-game lobby chat to be recorded and available to judge. Also, to somehow record when a player uses the ping function. Ping-spamming is completely obnoxious. Not the one or two extra retreat pings or the pings that trace an enemy path, but the real spam that they just keep doing even when you ask to please stop... Can we get a record of that in Tribunal?

3) How would you make the Tribunal more effective?
I'm not exactly sure. I, personally, have never had issue with it.

4) What is the Tribunal’s greatest weakness?
No lobby chat logs. (Surprisingly, I'm not convinced that people go into it specifically intending to abuse the system.)

5) Would you still vote in the Tribunal if there were no IP rewards?
I would, I suppose, if I was bored or curious enough. Less frequently, I'm sure.

6) What kind of rewards would you prefer from using the Tribunal?
I honestly have no idea. I think IP might be the best way to go.

Current Question of the Week [5/21/2012]:

1) If you could add one feature into the game that addresses player behavior, what would it be?

I have to chime in with the others suggestion a behavior reward system. I've seen a lot of proposals on systems that could work for this, and I really like one or two of them. Positive reinforcement is a very effective tool in improving behavior. I especially like the one that limits the amount of 'upvotes' and 'downvotes' you can give out in a day (as well as no voting either way with players on your friends list), leading to a lack of system abuse and recognition where it is deserved.
