So anyone got any thoughts on the "1 by 1" bit in his post? Maybe a reference to 1x1 or 1, 1 as coordinates? If so for which photo? or for both? I'd like to think that he just used 1 to make things quicker when typing, or something, but I have a stupid gut feeling it was on purpose. Or am I just thinking WAAAAY too much into this?

Might there be a significance to the name of the image, if you right click it and save it, you get KYxCB. Anyone got anything? I'm good at grabbing pieces but horrible at putting them all together.

I considered this with the first one. But I think it might just be the random string of characters imgur.com assigns it when it's uploaded. Not saying it's not relevant, just to keep that in mind when looking at it. The first one is A1FaD if anyone wants to look at both.

have you guys considered that the number could refer to the numerical position of a letter in the alphabet?
4 = D
12 = L

Also, imo the image has nothing to do w/ the sun representing the letter O. That throws out the "4:12" clue. It's more probable that it refers to the words at the top. For example: the 4th letter in "The dawn has arrived." is D, and the 12th is R.

If it were me I would say count 12 letters, then go to the 4th letter in that word which results in the letter "i". However, I don't think the parrot is attempting to be that clever...yet.

Set it up w/ a reader that will send you e-mail or text alerts on new posts. Although you'll likely get a bunch if text spam bothers you. :P

Don't forget about "heresy". It's at the beginning of every code piece, and we don't really know where it fits. On the off chance there could be some religious theme to 4:12, I looked up a few bible verses. Nothing fits with... anything.
In case anyone else is going through that thought process, it seems like a dead end.

Try looking for hints to Egyptian mythology.

The reason we came up with O for the first image was because there is a pixel at coordinates 4,12 (the "4:12" clue) that is compleatly different from those around it. It's colour value is 79, 0, 0 (or 4F0000 in hex) and 79 in ASCII is O.

Same happened with the second image, a pixel at 4, 32 with a value of 0, 0, 110 which's ASCII value converts to n.

The O came from the coloured pixel at 4,12 which is 4F 00 00 and 4F is O in HEX. Not because it is from the sun.

Ah I see. Well that makes more sense... sort-of lol. That sort of advanced clue is definitely more down his alley being that it's art related, however I still think it's too advanced for the current status of the puzzle. I don't see him going from super overt to super covert like that.

I'm hi-jacking this topic because you are more likely to see it. Any way we could get hi-rez versions of the splash art for some of the latest skins (like BT Morgana)? I tried a google search and the highest res is the one used in the client (1215x717).
