Back up real fast, I made a post earlier addressing the fact that people don't really care what the champions look like and how they can relate to them, I suggested the reason why they don't play champions is because they aren't fun to use. Let's take a look at Trundle for example, you can argue that he looks horrid, but is that the reason why people don't play him? No, the reason why they don't play him is because he is NOT fun to use, his kit is boring. He doesn't have any rewarding feeling when using him. Now, look at urgot. He is played SO MUCH, banned and picked all the time, is it because of his appearance? Well, thinking your way, he wouldn't be played at all because he looks "terrible". The reality is, he is fun to play, and is really strong. Everything about him feels like you are doing something, from csing to positioning. Look at Kog maw as well, he's played a ton too because of his versatility and power. He can be AP (you guys should also look into balancing this >.>) and AD, appealing to multiple people's playstyles. He isn't picked because of how he looks, although in some cases, that may be the case (you can't rule out the idea that people pick champions based on looks, but those are newer players AND are not the majority).
If your statement that players choose to play characters they can relate to and are appealing to over "monsters" or "grotesque"/"horrific" champions, then explain to me why my friend mains Volibear, yet hate how he looks? He reminds me all the time that he hates every skin he has, but he's so awesome to play. Why don't people play skarner? Is it because they can't relate to a giant crystal scorpion, or is it because they do not find his gameplay style appealing? That's something to think about, more so than ascetics. |

I think my concern with it is that it's a little out-of-place in our IP, but if we do in once in a great while it can be OK
