Can we please get an update so I don't waste my day staring at the patcher waiting for the play button to light up? I'd like to know if this is going to take a very long time or not. I hope that by now someone might at least have an idea about how long it'll take.

I don't really care about the root cause, I'd honestly rather see the client reverted and let them test the patch then re-release it Tuesday...
