IPL5 has four qualifiers with each qualifer winner taking a spot in the IPL5 Finals. This is one qualifier that the top four in the qualifier earn a spot. Therefore, these tournaments exists as separate events of the same entity (IPL).

Hey guys to give a little clarification this is a different event from IPL 5. The original date for IPL 5 would have conflicted with other eSports events and was rescheduled. In order for IPL to still provide you guys with some awesome content they have chosen to do this event.
