Morello could speak to this more than I right now.

Would not be the desired outcome if it becomes a reliable top tier approach assuming of course that the counters aren't extremely violent (And often effective).

if that's what you think about support then you srsly have no idea, without a good support there is absolutely no way the ad carry can get a successful lane.
This game is about working together towards victory, AS A TEAM.
And gp10 is not that good

The sole problem I can think of coming from GP/10 items is that it reinforces the current 0cs Support meta...which is easily the worst thing that's happened to the meta in all this time.

Uh, where in my post did I say I was going to go reactively over-nerf something before we are sure it's a major issue? Plus, there's lots of ways to fix this stuff that aren't exactly nerfing.

I am unconvinced it's a tier 1 viable strategy that is making the game lame . If the team was convinced that this was the case, we'd obviously do something, where something is if possible not a nerf but a sidestep. I'm sure this, like every other new strategy seen, is being watched. Sometimes stuff bubbles up that we don't anticipate and is problematic. Sometimes it is just a fad.

No, the problem is mid, top, jungle players using them to win by extreme passive play

Best ap in the world imo, froggen, realized this a long time ago. People called him a troll for philo or HoG on anivia, kog, etc. now it's becoming common from what ive seen

The gp/10 forces a gold investment and early passive play due to saccing offensive stats for it, but depending on the champion's kit, ganks can still be successful if there's enough damage and/or some strong cc. Also, the gp/10 item(s) make up for the early passivity later in the game, esp. by late game.

Except as of right now, every mid buys Kages Picks as their first item. Even champions like Vlad and Kennen who need Spell Vamp. They get Kages pick first. Some AP mid even get Philstone as well, like Kassadin.

Top lane is usually getting HoG and Philostone same as Jungler. AD carry is the only champion who doesn't buy Gp/5 right now.

GP/5(10) is ridiculously overpowered right now, like it always has been. Especially with how easy you've made it to clear waves for a lot of champions.

g/10 items perform poorly for actual stats at the time of buying. A g/10 buy is an investment for yourself, saying, "I may not get that clutch kill with this, but by keeping this for 15 minutes, I'll have an extra 450 gold I can ward the map with, plus it builds into some sweet items!"

g/10 items are by no means OP, nor are they toxic in any way. As a support, they are mandatory to be able to get things you need, such as boots before 20 minutes. For more passive junglers, it can get them on the right track for items they won't be getting via kills.

I believe that the poor immediate-cost-effectiveness is a healthy downside to the pocket change they provide for those who won't be getting many kills until mid to late game.
