The thing that bothers me about is that she looks like Winnie from Hocus Pocus (it's the mouth/teeth).

No, it wasn't. The sneak peek gives the impression that she's hiding some menacing intent under her smile, and while she distracts you she's going to put some seeds in you that will eventually kill you (clever, infestor). The splash art gives the impression that she doesn't care about anything but killing everyone, and she's not going to hide it (brute and overpowering).

how do you know it wasn't giving the wrong impression? we don't know her lore or anything about her actual personality. maybe the sneak peek was misleading?

Well, it's not about what I want here (personally, it doesn't seem problematic) but you guys have some good points, especially re: facial expression. She should feel aggressive, but more clever.

Agreed completely and +1 for OP.

I thought her teaser images had an adorably vicious/mysterious smirk going on. But from the official splash all I get is a what looks like I HATE EVERYTHING.

Redo the splash!
