Finally someone who gets my reasoning. You can compare her to whoever you want guys, but instead of actual comparisons to other champions, all I have read is "Shyvana lol you're wrong."

The difference is supposed to be that Shyvana becomes a tanky initiator while Eve becomes an assassin. So far, I haven't found that to be the case for Eve. Assassins are supposed to be able to get in quickly, burst down a target, and get out alive. Eve's skillset now is more about sustained damage, which doesn't really work on a squishy character.

When the remake was previewed, Riot posters were implying she would be a great duelist, which I just haven't been able to make work. My biggest issue when ganking lanes is that the AP carry or bruiser just turns around and kills Eve from full HP, even in a 2v1 situation. I jungle just about every character its possible to jungle on, and I've never played a jungler where this happens so regularly. I find her skillset is only good for chasing people down, which only works if they're afraid to 1v1 you. Most people have figured out by now that there's no reason to fear Eve.
My point exactly. While people can say all they want that "Eve is a duelist" or "Eve is an assassin," her new skillset is a lot different. Yes, she was a duelist and assassin.

Now, she has a mid range Q, W designed for sticking and chasing, E designed for sustained AA damage, R which strikes me as an AOE team fight skill...

Remove the stealth from her old kit. Just say her W is "Stun on next skill or AA." She is a duelist and assassin still.
Sneak through brush/hide in brush>Pop W to setup stun>E for huge burst DPS, stun activation, armor/mr shred for finishing off>AA off sheen proc>Q>AA>R for finishing chase>Q>Sheen procced AA>Kill/Asssist complete, Healed, Ult Refreshed.

That's how she was. That's no longer how she is. And while the developers may maintain that her intended playstyle is an assassin/duelist, the optimal playstyle used by the players according to the meta and other champions in the ring has the potential to be something else entirely.

You want to call her a duelist? Compare her old and new ultimates. The new one is not designed to be used on 1 person (at its maximum effectiveness), whereas the old one was pretty much "focus down 1 person, move on to the next." With the old ultimate, you got steroids to win the duel, and a heal to move on to the next.

We agree we released Evelynn a bit on the weak side.

What we also believe though is that this new Evelynn still has a large learning curve and things may look worse at the moment to some players than they really are.

We're overall happy with how she is functioning, though she definitely needs some fine tuning. We're confident we can get her into a good place without something as drastic as say re-introducing a stun on the kit.

There are 2 primary buffs we plan on pushing next patch for Eve:

1) Reduce the time she needs to get back into her stealth
We built enough natural counter-play to her stealth that this just seems excessive in disallowing her to play the game she was meant to play.

2) Significantly reduce her ultimate's cooldown
We loaded a ton of her power into this spell, and Eve is very reliant on good use of this spell to succeed in all phases of the game.

Let's see how this affects things and move on from there.

Could we get some sort of HP regen while stealthed tackled to W as a passive to help her jungle some (and maybe make her more viable in lane)?

@statikk

I recently picked Eve up again (didn't play her after stun removal) and I believe the remade eve is a lot of fun. I am really excited for the ult to receive a CD reduction, as I feel it's really hard to engage in most fights without it... ganking a lane with no cc makes the gank completely rely on it (which is currently every 150 secs at lvl 1? )

She seems to do very little damage in the early levels (maxing Q), but once you start get 2 or 3 items, things go a lot smoother.
