So I'm fascinated by the new Tribunal Report Card system. It's great for players that always ask "Why'dja ban me!" and get answers. I haven't received one or anything, but it's worth noting that they're totally public.

http://na.leagueoflegends.com/tribunal/en/case/5572301/

That was the first Report Card ever given out, and I found this by just lowering the number until there was an error, and going up one. It really wasn't that hard, and I could see every tribunal case along the way if I wanted.

That's not to say it's a bad thing or anything, but would you want to have your tribunal case recorded and public for everyone to see? I can understand if the link was for a one-off, or maybe the links weren't so.. chronological, but as you can see, you can just increase the number on the right and browse every tribunal case since the system was implemented.

Was this intended? How does this affect player privacy? Is it intended as a punishment for offending players to have their offenses completely public even after the Tribunal, names and all? EDIT: It seems names were removed; my mistake.

If a Rioter could give me a response on this it'd be great. I'm not complaining, but in the interest of privacy I'm surprised that you went this route.

Also it's midnight and I'm tired. I apologize if I make less than sense right now.

what i'd like to know is specifics on the "it was controversial"

how controversial are we talking here... it'd be a shame for someone to get permabanned on a 51/49 vote

not every number is used. sometimes its skips 1.

As far as privacy goes, there are no names in these report cards. and they are removed from public after 2 weeks.
I.e. Its very hard for anyone to simply sift trough reports in order to hopefully find someone saying
"Omg Sevenix Im reporting you for being an ass"

We made a conscious decision to keep the Reform Cards as public links-- although we currently do not actually send the links to anyone but the punished player.

The whole point of the Tribunal is to empower the community, and by allowing these pages to be distributed publicly, the PB&J team believes that we're given the community a better tool for discussion and debate as well as giving players more information about their own behavior.

That said, privacy is a big concern, and you'll notice that we now remove all user information (like summoner names) from the page. We wouldn't want these pages to be used as a gateway for people to harass the summoners on the case, for example.

Like Lyte (our team's designer) is always mentioning, we're watching carefully for the results of these changes, so we can continue to make the system more effective. If we need to make some adjustments, we will

Actually, our chat logs are hooked up to rewrite that as:

"Omg Amumu Im reporting you for being an ass"
