honestly if there was some IP inflation, I would be perfectly fine with constructing a new tier of 7400 IP champs or something, (so longs some of the 6300 get moved down to 4800, that 4800 tier just looks ridiculous with like 10 champions in it...

Morello, I just wanted to say, I'm applying for a position at Riot.
Expect a real life Morello's Evil Tome on your desk within the next few weeks!
With my application inside of it, of course.

Have you ever considered RAISING new champion ip prices, then dropping them a few weeks after they are released due to IP inflation as people acquire most everything that can be bought (the guy who owns full rune pages and plays enough to buy every new champ that comes out

assuming you get one win of the day and one match, and get around 300 ip for them daily you, over 2 weeks make about 4200 ip, fairly close to the amount of a 6300 champ, throw in an extra game a day and your even closer, however its very unlikely that someone will want every champ that comes out every week so even with the base 2 games a day someone would be able to buy one brand new champ every 4 weeks if they had everything else that they wanted.

Even now as it stands,(and once again this is just from a perspective) i note that when the new champion comes out, almost EVERY game has one,(in blind alot of em even have 2 ) so people are not having as much trouble acquiring it as they seem to complain about, granted some of them may be buying it with RP, although some people who bought them with RP may not even get to use them for awhile after release date due to this.

Was just curious to hear thoughts on this subject, although yes this does stem from the fact that for the more powerful/popular champs on release i tend to buy them with RP, only to be unable to use them because almost everyone has them (i don't particularly like to insta-lock)

(Note i also thought about the possibility of making new champs RP only for the first week after release only to realize the wave of anger this would cause)

NO ! That's all, NO !

6300 is ok, because you need ~2 weeks to get them, it's good enough. If they raise the price, I'm out. Srsly..

Think what you want, but NO, ******** NO !

@Morello (or Tryn I suppose) - I currently work as a Dialer Admin and have been doing Workforce Management related stuff for 5+ or so years now. It's not something that I went to school or trained for but it kinda fell in my lap, has it's challenges, and pays pretty decent so I've stuck with it. The problem is that I have always wanted to do design and/or programming or maybe even database/analysis stuffs in the gaming field because games have been such a massive (and positive) part of my life.

I want to apply to work for/with you guys so I can be a part of Team Awesome™ and create awesome things for the awesome gaming community. I just have no idea what position would meet my particular skillset. I was hoping that I might be able to talk with you in particular Morello because I like the way you think and articulate yourself on the forums (even if you're not the most interesting poster, that honor goes to Xyph or Lyte).

It would just make a lot of people wait a couple weeks before buying the new champions I'd guess.

If I knew that the IP cost was high upon release and then would be dropped later, it would do two things:

1) Make me wait on purchasing the champion

2) Make it feel more like a "pay to win" scenario where people with RP are getting the champion for the same price but everyone else either has to pay an inflated amount or wait longer.

Honestly, I'd despise this change as someone who buys about half the new champions on release day with IP. All it would do is make me feel like I'm at a disadvantage to players who want to spend RP to buy the new champions.

One thing that I would like to see from Riot is more discussion about the jobs.

Extra information on the Riot Games Careers page regarding who receives resumes, extra information about applying for internships, information regarding foreign employees, etc.

Yet another possibility, perhaps, would be is to set up something new for Riot Games that has been done for numerous other sites. Q&A with specific members in regards to their job, how they got it, what they like about it, etc.

I'm mostly bringing this up for personal reasons, as I had sent a message to Riot Games in regards to foreign interns, requirements, etc. yet, after nearly two months, I've yet to hear anything back.

I would love to intern at Riot Games and, hopefully, end up working for the company that has kept me playing a game more than anything else I've ever played. I love everything about the company, except for the few things I have pointed out. :>

Tried similar solutions there (and while there's merit) it's hard when the whole game is balanced around Flash currently. And Flash adds some pretty specific excitement.

...talk about a heated argument with Shurelia only to see her side of it at the end

But, and I do not expect an answer of course, how much did Riot games make in tertiary revenue from the amount of time he spent logged into your service / website?

I imagine advertisers pay you based on how many users you average, so, how much is the average user worth?
