for some reason people just don't seems to understand that more abilities = good for ability-based champs. i can't imagine that Diana won't need to worry about mana, spamming Q and R like that.
the fact is that yes, Diana needs and wants all the stats that Nashor gives. Nashor straight into Deathcap is almost certainly the most optimal build path, slowing only to pick up boots somewhere along the route. considering the current options for AP assassins, everything else will just be luxury. RoA and Rylai take too long, are WAY expensive, and only offer about 40 more AP than Nashor while giving her no stats that help her to be an assassin. Abyssal and Grail are very expensive defense items and they just don't give her as much burst power. Archangel doesn't give the AS and CDR that Nashor does, and so, while it is suitable for long-ranged nukers, Diana needs that CDR and AS much more than the extra MP5 and mana.
tanky brawler Diana is another story entirely.
