Hmm. Kades, what are your thoughts on the Harry Potter books, assuming you have read them? And have you ever read the Dragonrealm books?

I'm not a huge fan, but one of my friends has shown me that it does have its good points. The problem is that the good parts are few and far between, even if they're pretty darn good. The rest is 10 episodes per 'fight' where they stand around whining/yelling/staring/reminiscing/etc. Oh wait I missed that one smidge of action when I blinked...

(Not trying to derail the thread, or knock those who enjoy Naruto, but saying it can be a bit slow is an understatement.)

My main issues though would probably be how useless Sakura is despite how epic her chakra control is compared to the others... It's like setting a weightlifter next to someone who just came out of a ten year coma and having the ex-comatose come out on top in arm wrestling every time. This lack of consistency in character is found elsewhere as well, but nowhere quite as strongly or as often.

(By all means try it out, it just feels like how you described WoT, it has somewhere to go (maybe), it just doesn't feel like getting there.)
