If the two top teams get disqualified, all other teams get bumped up normally just like with individual athletes who get their gold medal taken away due to disqualification.

So...Prize money for 1st and 2nd should go to 3rd and 4th team respectively.

Not harsh, I think it's right. I mean they were lucky that they aren't ban from future MLG events or had all their points taken away by RIOT.
MLG is one of the largest e-sport event in NA and they take it seriously. We always complain why others don't take e-sports seriously and now you think that what happen in that game is acceptable? It's also stupid to say "its fun", there's a fine line between fun and just being childish. Sports are fun so maybe someday in NBA we have a 1v1 dunk contest in the finals or no fielders in baseball or something fun in super bowl.

I don't even like these 2 teams, but what happened was not fair.. This is something they did for the fans, not for themselves, and they got burned for it. I just can't believe Riot agreed to this ****, I thought they had their hearts in the right place.

If they were doing what's best for e-Sports then they should bump the third and fourth place teams to first and second, respectively. Then those teams can receive the prizes for playing 'legitimate' games. Regardless if it was a large event or not, the intent was NOT to mock e-Sports. Both teams already apologized. What more do you want? This is why this punishment is harsh in my opinion.

Personally I don't think it's right, because they're taking the fun out of gaming in general with this message. MLG should have just told them not to do it again and move on. THAT way MLG still looks good and both teams still earn their prizes/circuit points. With MLG doing this, it only makes them seem very strict and un-fun.

People play games to have fun. I think MLG needs to remember that.

Just to be crystal clear, MLG’s decision here has nothing to do with ARAM. Both Curse and Dignitas admitted to and apologized for colluding prior to the finals to throw the match.
