Some basic questions from a relatively new player:

1) I've been playing Ashe. I'm curious - does Frozen Mallet stack with her Frost Arrow ability for slow reduction? Does Phage? If you have Phage and Frozen Mallet, do they stack together?

2) Do Boots of differing types Stack? So if I have Boots of Speed x3 is it the same as the Boots of Move+3? Or if you have two types of boots, does it just take the highest move bonus and the passives of both?

3) Is there a cap to stacking attack speed or cooldown reduction?

1) Separate slow effects do stack - the strongest slow gets the full effect while the weaker ones are applied at reduced effectiveness. As a special case, passive slows from items do not stack; only the strongest item slow is applied.

2) Boots do not stack

3) Attack speed caps at 2.5, cooldown reduction caps at 40%.

For #2 also keep in mind that tier 1 boots give more of a gain, relatively speaking, than the higher tier boots (in other words tier 3 don't give three times the speed bonus of tier 1):

• Enhanced Movement 1 increases the base movement speed of a champion by 50.
• Enhanced Movement 2 increases the base movement speed of a champion by 70.
• Enhanced Movement 3 increases the base movement speed of a champion by 90.
• Enhanced Movement 5 increases the base movement speed of a champion by 130.

Soft cap. After certain values, additional movement speed is reduced.

When the raw movement speed is greater than 415, there are two soft caps applied:
The raw speed between 415 and 490 gets multiplied by 80%.
The raw speed over 490 gets multiplied by 50%.

This actually means boots of mobility always hits the softcap when it kicks in unless the champion is slowed.
